Wildcats to Open 2025 Campaign Feb. 14

Baseball season is just around the corner at Davidson, where the Wildcats will open the 2025 campaign on Valentine's Day at home against Bryant.
Davidson, 24-28 a year ago, will navigate a 52-game schedule, including 27 games at home, 24 on the road and one at a neutral site.

• The Wildcats will play 10 of their first 11 at Wilson Field and their first 24 in the Carolinas prior to a visit to Dayton March 28-30.
• The schedule features games against seven teams that played in the 2024 NCAA Tournament: N.C. State (College World Series), Clemson (Super Regional), Bryant, Duke, South Carolina, VCU and Wofford. The Wildcats will play three-game series with Clemson, Bryant and VCU.
• The Wildcats will meet N.C. State at Atrium Health Ballpark in Kannapolis on March 18. It's the fifth straight season Davidson is scheduled to play at the home of the Single-A Kannapolis Cannon Ballers. The Wildcats are 3-0 there, with wins over Wofford (2021), Western Carolina (2023) and Charlotte (2024). A 2022 contest with Appalachian State was canceled due to weather.
• This season, the 12-team Atlantic 10 moves from eight three-game series to 10. The Wildcats will host UMass in the first A-10 series March 14-16 and also welcome VCU, Saint Louis, George Washington and George Mason to Wilson Field. Davidson will visit Dayton, Fordham, Saint Joseph's, St. Bonaventure and Richmond. The only league foe not on the schedule? Rhode Island.
• For the second straight year, the Atlantic 10 Tournament will be held at Capital One Park in Tyson's Corner, Va. The league's top seven teams will vie for an NCAA bid May 20-24.
