Wildcats Host Minutemen in Final Saturday Home Game

DAVIDSON, N.C. -- With just three games to go in the regular season, the Davidson men's basketball team will host UMass in its final weekend home game of the season on Saturday afternoon.

The 'Cats and Minutemen will tip off at 2:30 p.m. on USA Network with Mike Corey and Tim McCormick on the call.

• Connor Kochera scored a career-high 29 points and Davidson drilled 14 3-pointers in a 93-78 victory at UMass last February.
• A junior from Arlington Heights, Ill., Kochera finished 10-of-13 from the floor, including seven triples in 25 minutes off the bench.
• Grant Huffman scored nine points and handed out a career-high 10 assists in the outing.

ABOUT UMASS
• The Minutemen boast the Atlantic 10's top offense, leading the league in scoring offense (78.8 ppg) while ranking second in scoring margin (7.8).
• Massachusetts defeated George Washington, 69-57, in the capital on Tuesday night. With the win the Minutemen tallied their 18th win, the most victories in a single season since the 2013-14 season. The Minutemen were led by veterans Matt Cross and Rahsool Diggins who combined for 30 points in the win. Cross led the team in points and rebounds, finishing with 17 and seven while shooting 66% (8-12).
• The Minutemen secured their 18th victory of the season with their win over GW. It marks the most wins in a single-season for UMass since the 2013-14 campaign.

• Freshman guard Bobby Durkin burst onto the scene after hitting the game-winning triple against Maryland on Nov. 10.
• After coming off the bench and averaging 26.2 minutes per game, the true freshman worked his way into the Wildcats' starting lineup as of Jan. 13 against George Washington.
• The rookie leads the 'Cats with 54 made three-pointers, and 1.93 triples per game, good for top-15 in both categories in the Atlantic 10.
• Averaging 8.8 points per game, Durkin has reached double-digits in scoring in 14 games this season while recording a career-high 18 points at Charlotte during the Battle for the Hornets' Nest rivalry game.

TRENDY 'CATS
• Davidson is 10-1 this season when four or more 'Cats score in double figures and 9-2 in midweek contests.
• The Wildcats are 10-5 when Connor Kochera reaches double digits in scoring.
• When Reed Bailey leads Davidson in rebounding, the 'Cats are 8-6. When he reaches double figures on the glass, the 'Cats are 2-1.
• Grant Huffman has led the Wildcats in assists in all but two games this season. He has 46 career games leading Davidson in assists.

• Davidson is 2-1 when Bailey records a double-double, picking up wins at Fordham and against La Salle with his well-rounded efforts.
• The Massachusetts native has taken 147 shots from the charity stripe this season, draining 116 free throws (78.9%). His 116 makes checks into the top-6 in the Atlantic 10 from the line.

• One of the Wildcats' philosophies is to get better everyday, and Davidson has seen the fruits of that labor at the end of the year.
