Wildcats Take Loss at Dayton

DAYTON, OHIO - Dayton scored two goal in the first half to take a lead over the Davidson women's soccer team it would never relinquish on the way to a 3-0 victory Thursday.Â
The loss moves the Wildcats record to 3-6-1 overall and 0-2-1 in Atlantic 10 competition while the Flyers improve to 7-1-3 overall and 2-0-1 in league play.Â
Madison Wilson and Mairin Wessner gave Dayton their two-goal advantage over the first half before Wilson tacked on an insurance goal and her second of the evening less than two minutes into the second half.Â
The Wildcats totaled six shots, to Dayton's 17, with two coming from Annaliese Mann including one on goal. Madison Hairston was the remaining Davidson player to place a shot on target.Â
Emily Smith in another 90 minute showing made four saves.Â

The 'Cats will return to their home field when they host UMass Sunday at 1 p.m.
