Feczko, Wildcats Hold Off Lafayette to Even Series

The Wildcats improved to 3-3 and set up a rubber match on Sunday with the 1-5 Leopards.
Henry Koehler's RBI-single got the Wildcats started Saturday, and Michael O'Shaughnessy's three-run home run, his second of the year, made it 4-0 after an inning. It's a lead the Wildcats extended to 11-0 after six innings before the Leopards climbed back in it late.
Left-hander Ryan Feczko kept the Leopards at bay, while earning his first win of the season. He tossed five innings and allowed just two hits, while striking out six.
Making his first career start at first base, O'Shaughnessy finished with three hits, while Wildcats Koehler, Jacob Friend and Nick Calero had two apiece. Jack Cotrone's two-RBI single highlighted the four-run fifth, and Koehler's second RBI-single of the day came in the three-run sixth.
Hunter Anderson and Landon Reeves earned their first career hits on back-to-back RBI-doubles in the eighth to make it 13-2. Lafayette then scored nine runs in the ninth, including an Easton Brennan grand slam.
