WILDCAT SCRATCHES

For the second time in 19 days, Davidson and Saint Louis will meet on the hardwood.
The Billikens edged the Wildcats 74-70 when the two teams met on Jan. 27 in Belk Arena.
Coming off a 73-71 setback to Fordham over the weekend, Davidson enters 11-13 overall and 4-8 in Atlantic 10 play.
The Wildcats last six losses against league competition have come by an average margin of -3.5 points.
Nine of the 'Cats' first 13 conference contests have come against teams predicted to finish in the top-half of the preseason poll, including two-games (8 total) each against the Top-3 in the current standings.
Since joining the A-10 in 2014-15, Davidson has won two regular season titles (2015, 2022), a tournament title (2018), made three NCAA Tournaments (2015, 2018, 2022) and totaled 95 league wins (11.3 per year).
The Wildcats have recorded an average finish of 4.0 in the 15-team conference and made the A-10 semifinals each year.

Foster Loyer, who has scored 836 of his 1,071 career points at Davidson, ranks among league leaders in scoring (15.9/7th), 3-pointers made (51/9th), free-throw percentage (.913/1st), 3-pointers per game (2.2/10th), assists per game (4.6/4th) and steals per game (1.7/6th).
Sam Mennenga is also scoring over 15 points per game, while leading the 'Cats in rebounding (6.9).
In addition he ranks among A-10 leaders in scoring (13th), rebounding (8th) and field-goal percentage (12th).
Loyer and teammate David Skogman (.860) rank 1-4 in the league in free-throw percentage.
The Wildcats are 7-2 on the season when making at least eight 3-pointers in a contest.

Davidson trimmed a double-digit deficit to a single point late but couldn't get over the top in a 73-71 Atlantic 10 Conference loss to Fordham Saturday afternoon in Belk Arena.
Though the Wildcats trailed by as many as 12 in the second half, they pulled within 59-58 with 6:08 to play thanks to an 11-0 run, setting the stage for a tight finish.
Foster Loyer led the way with 26 points, including 15-of-16 free throws. The only one he missed was his final attempt, which was intentional as the Wildcats were down two with 5.7 seconds left. But Fordham's Antrell Charlton rebounded it and hit two free throws to all but seal it, though Grant Huffman hit a jumper to cut it to one with one second remaining.
Watson narrowly missed a double-double with 10 points and nine rebounds.
The Wildcats finished 28-of-35 at the foul line, while Fordham held a 15-1 advantage in second-chance points and 36-29 in rebounding.
Darius Quisenberry and Khalid Moore scored 21 and 20 points, respectively, to lead the Rams.
