CLEVELAND, Ohio – Reed Bailey scored 10 straight points down the stretch and finished with a game-high 15 points to help Davidson rally past Ohio, 72-69, in the Legends of Basketball Showcase inside Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse Saturday afternoon.

Winners of seven straight, the 'Cats conclude non-conference play 10-3 overall.

Down 62-58 with 3:47 remaining, Bailey would spark the Davidson comeback with a 3-point play and a pair of layups in consecutive trips. He would follow with three free throws, including one with 27 ticks left to put his club in front for good.

A sophomore from Harvard, Mass., Bailey was one of four Wildcats in double figures while finishing 7-of-9 from the charity stripe to go with 6 rebounds.

As a team, Davidson got to the line 36 times and held a 45-39 advantage on the glass.

Playing less than 30 miles from his hometown of Aurora, Grant Huffman also had 15 points and 6 boards for the 'Cats, who trailed by as many as 10 in the second half. Connor Kochera and Bobby Durkin added 14 and 13 points, respectively.

Facing its largest deficit, 45-35, Davidson used a 15-3 spurt capped by an Achile Spadone 3-pointer from the corner to go back ahead with 14:08 to play. Spadone contributed a season-high 9 points and 5 rebounds in 23 minutes off the bench.

The two teams traded multiple runs over the opening 20 minutes before Ohio (6-6) went to the break up, 40-33. After Durkin scored eight straight points to give the 'Cats their largest lead, 28-20 with 6:43 left in the period, the Bobcats closed on a 20-5 streak highlighted by a pair of Miles Brown treys 14 seconds apart.
