Candelaria Homers in Sunday's Loss at The Citadel

Candelaria's home run was a solo shot to right-center in the fourth inning and gave Davidson a 3-2 lead before the Bulldogs scored two runs in each of the next three innings.
Candelaria finished the day 3-for-4 and also had a double. Alex Fedje-Johnson was 3-for-5 in the leadoff spot and hit two doubles.
Davidson's first two runs came in the second inning when John Hosmer's RBI-single drove in Michael Carico, who had walked. Then Candelaria, who had doubled, scored on a Matt Gravely groundout.
Fedje-Johnson's second double of the day drove in Gravely in the eighth to make it 8-4.
Alex Fenton started on the mound and threw 3.2 innings, allowing seven hits and four earned runs, while striking out five.

The Wildcats play their next game in the Palmetto State as well. They'll visit South Carolina Tuesday at 7 p.m.
