WILDCAT SCRATCHES
• Davidson will conclude the 2020-21 regular season with a 2 p.m. tip against VCU Saturday.
• The Wildcats enter 11-7 overall and 6-4 in league play following consecutive setbacks to St. Bonaventure.
• Prior to its most recent contests against the Bonnies, Davidson had not dropped back-to-back games in February since the 2016-17 season.
• Since 2003-04, the Wildcats own a 104-31 record in the month of February.
• Davidson is 75-43 in A-10 regular season play since joining the league in 2014-15.
• Through 18 games, Davidson's starting backcourt of Kellan Grady (17.0), Hyunjung Lee (13.3), and Carter Collins (12.4) are combining to average 42.7 points per game.
• The trio has combined for 15 20-point outings and accounted for 123 of the 'Cats' 176 3-pointers this season.
• Their 117 3-pointers made is more than 118 teams in the country have hit.
• In addition, Lee also ranks among league leaders in field-goal percentage (15th/.509), 3-point field goal percentage (2nd/.438), free-throw percentage (1st/.897) and 3-pointers made (7th/42).
• As a team, the 'Cats have outrebounded their opponents in 15 of the first 18 contests and hold a +6.3 margin on the glass, which is second to only Saint Louis in the conference.
• The last time Davidson had a rebounding margin of at least +6.0 was during the 2011-12 campaign.
LAST TIME OUT
• Davidson rallied from a 14-point second-half deficit to tie it late, but St. Bonaventure recovered to hold off the Wildcats 56-53 Wednesday evening in Belk Arena.
• Davidson had a chance to tie the game in the final seconds, but Luka Brajkovic's 3-point attempt from the left corner was blocked with two seconds left.
• After falling behind 46-32 with 16:40 to play, the Wildcats used a 9-0 run to get back in it, while holding the Bonnies scoreless for five minutes. A Carter Collins 3-pointer from the left corner with 6:38 left got the Wildcats within two points, and Brajkovic split a double team for a layup to tie it at 53-all with 2:29 left. But the Bonnies immediately responded with a Jalen Adaway 3-pointer and kept the Wildcats scoreless from there.
• Bona led 39-28 at the half after closing the first 20 minutes on an 11-0 run, following a tying 3-pointer by Hyunjung Lee.
• Collins led Davidson with 16 points, while Brajkovic added 12.
• Jaren Holmes led Bona with 16, while Dominick Welch scored all 15 of his points from beyond the arc in the first half, and Adaway finished with 14.
UP NEXT
• Davidson will travel to Richmond, Va., next week for the 2021 Atlantic 10 Men's Basketball Championship hosted by Richmond and VCU.
GET BETTER EVERY DAY
• One of the Wildcats' philosophies is to get better every day, and Davidson has seen the fruits of that labor at the end of the year.
• Since 2003-04, the Wildcats own a 104-31 record in the month of February.
• Davidson is 48-27 in March during that time.
