The Wildcats will celebrate Senior Day on Sunday against the Flyers.

DAVIDSON, N.C. -- The Davidson Wildcats will close out the 2020-21 regular season by welcoming two of the top teams in the Atlantic 10 to Belk Arena this weekend, first hosting Saint Louis on Friday night and then Dayton for a Sunday afternoon tip off.

WHAT'S ON TAP... Heading into the final weekend of regular season play, the 'Cats are seeded ninth among the Atlantic 10, with a 5-8 conference ledger. Saint Louis currently sits in third place, with an 8-3 conference record while the Flyers are the league favorite, sitting at 11-1 among the A-10. The meeting between Davidson and the Billikens will be the first this season, while the Wildcats look to topple SLU for the third straight meeting. The 'Cats last met Dayton on January 14 of this year, when the Flyers just edged out Davidson, 64-58, thanks to a late 14-2 run.

SENIOR DAY CELEBRATIONS... Sunday's game against the Flyers will pair as the Wildcats' Senior Day, as the program will honor Andrea Robinson, Katie Turner, Alana Davidson, Kelly Fitzgerald, Sarah Donovan and Saeeda Abdul-Aziz for their commitment to the team over the years.

SEASON OF STREAKS... The Davidson women's basketball's season has been a series of streaks. After opening up the year 0-3 with three strong tests down in the #BeachBubble, the Wildcats rattled of a six-game win streak, which was the longest run for the program in seven years. After that tear, which saw the 'Cats at 6-3 overall and 3-0 in A-10 play, Davidson dropped its next six contests. Since then, the Wildcats have exchanged results for two wins and one loss.

PREVIOUSLY... The 'Cats traveled north for their penultimate weekend series last week, taking on George Washington and George Mason. Davidson dropped the first half of the weekend to the Colonials before bouncing back with a 68-42 win over the Patriots. The Wildcats outperformed George Mason in nearly every category, including holding the Patriots to just 12 first half points. Davidson opened up the day on a 17-3 run and shot 43 percent from the field across the second half.

GOULD AS GOLD... Cassidy Gould has hit her stride the last few weeks, as she has scored in double-digits in the Wildcats' last three games. Against Mason, she paved the way for Davidson, tallying the first double-double of her career and set a new career-high in rebounding with 17 points and 11 boards.

AUSSIE MAGIC... Davidson's Australian pipeline of Adelaide Fuller, Cassidy Gould and Suzi-Rose Deegan has proven to have fire power for the Wildcats this year. The trio averages a combined 28.3 points per game and are three of Davidson's top four scorers this season. Fuller earned her first career start on Jan. 10 against Rhode Island, and Deegan, the reigning A-10 Rookie of the Year, is averaging 11.8 points per game over her last six outings.

FOURTH QUARTER CATS... Davidson is consistently its best self during fourth quarters this season. The 'Cats have scored 343 points across its fourth quarter efforts this year and averages 18.1 points per fourth frame. This effort adds to Davidson's outscoring opponents eight times during second halves this season.

TURNER'S TOUCH... Senior guard, Katie Turner has already left her mark on the Wildcats' program throughout her career. She moved to third all-time in career assists (435) after dishing 127 assists last season and is now just 34 assists away from taking over the second all-time slot. The Nevada native is also a member of Davidson's 1,000 point club and moved into third all-time for career three-pointers now with 221 total, after draining 66 three's last season. She continues to climb this program rank, as she is just 10 made-three's away from taking over the program record. With her first three-pointer of the series against St. Bonaventure, Turner took over sole possession of third place in Davidson's record book for career made-three's.
