Wildcats Cruise Past VCU 66-39

RICHMOND, Va. - Powered by Katie Donovan's 14 points and scoring contributions from 10 different Wildcats, the Davidson College women's basketball team rolled past VCU 66–39 Wednesday night inside the Siegel Center.
The Wildcats, who shot 43.6 percent from the floor and caused a season-high 25 turnovers, improved to 17-11 and 9-6 in league action. The Rams fell to 8-19 and 4-11 in the A-10.
The win also secured the Wildcats at least a first-round bye in the A-10 tournament.
Donovan, who returned to the starting lineup after missing her last game, led the 'Cats with 10 points in the first half on 2-of-5 shooting from deep and 4-for-6 from the charity stripe.
Angeliki Ziaka scored a season-high off the bench for the Wildcats, scoring 12 points on 50 percent shooting.
Taking a 17-14 lead into the second quarter, the 'Cats outscored the Rams 18-6 in the quarter to take a commanding 15-point lead. They extended the lead out to as much as 29 points late in the fourth quarter.
The 'Cats finished the day with 25 points off the bench as every active player saw playing time.
On the boards, Davidson held a 41-31 advantage, led by nine from Ines Garcia Monje and seven from Charlise Dunn.
Katarina Knezevic was the lone Ram in double figures with 10 points.
