The Wildcats are 3-2 in Atlantic 10 play and currently tied for fifth place among the league's standings.

DAVIDSON, N.C. -- After dropping their last two contests, the Davidson Wildcats will look to get back in the win column this week, by taking on the Dayton Flyers and Saint Louis Billikens on the road.

SETTING THE SCENE... After going on a six-game win streak, which was the longest for the program in seven years, the Davidson Wildcats dropped their last two contests on the road to UMass and Rhode Island. The 'Cats are currently tied for fifth place among A-10 standings with a 3-2 record, taking on the top team in the league in Dayton, who remains undefeated at 4-0.

LAST TIME OUT... The 'Cats traveled to Rhode Island on Sunday afternoon, looking to right the ship after losing their first game in nearly a month to the Minutewomen last Friday night. Davidson jumped out to a 15-6 lead over the Rams, but Rhody responded and outscored the Wildcats 34-20 from inside the paint, and won on the glass, 43-25, to hold Davidson to its lowest scoring effort of the season, ultimately falling 62-44. The Wildcats' loss to the Rams was just the second time this season that three 'Cats did not reach double-figures in scoring.

ABOUT THE FLYERS... Dayton is 5-1 on the year and winners of four straight, sitting in first place in the A-10 standings with a 4-0 record. The Flyers are 2-1 at home this season. As a team, the Flyers are averaging 65.2 points per game and holding opponents to 53.3 points each outing. Dayton is shooting 42.2 percent overall, 30.9 percent from three point range, and 68.3 percent from the free throw line. UD has a +9.7 rebounding margin as well.

VS. DAYTON... Since joining the A-10 in 2014-15, Dayton holds the all-time series advantage at 7-0. Historically, the 'Cats have scored 422 points against the Flyers, while allowing 519 points. Davidson will look to pick up its first win over the Flyers in program history tomorrow, as the Wildcats nearly defeated Dayton in their last meeting, but the Flyers edged out the 'Cats just 55-49.

WHAT'S A BILLIKEN... The Saint Louis women's basketball team has not played a game since Dec. 6, due to COVID-19 protocols. This season, the Billikens are 2-0, picking up wins over Memphis and Bradley. In their two-game stretch, the team has averaged 75.5 points per game, and will be taking on the Wildcats in what will be their first conference game of the year.

AUSSIE MAGIC... Davidson's Australian pipeline of Adelaide Fuller, Cassidy Gould and Suzi-Rose Deegan has proven to have fire power for the Wildcats. The trio averages a combined 28.9 points per game and are three of Davidson's top four scorers this season. Fuller earned her first career start on Sunday against the Rams, and Deegan, the reigning A-10 Rookie of the Year, is averaging 13.7 points per game over her last three outings.
