DAVIDSON, N.C. – Georgia State's Liz Anne Fogarty hit a penalty kick in overtime to finish off the Panthers' comeback and Davidson fell for the first time this year in a 2-1 setback Thursday night in women's soccer inside Alumni Stadium.

The Wildcats (2-1) saw a 1-0 lead erased late in the second half and then the Panthers drew a PK in the 98th minute to finish off the game for their first win of the season (1-2).

Comments from head coach Adam Denton
"It was a tough defeat in overtime for us tonight. We felt we dominated the first half for the most part and we did get a goal, but could have had a second one which came back to hurt us later in not converting on it. We gave away a goal from switching off late in the game, but we settled back in and created some chances for ourselves, just missing some close opportunities to finish the game off. Overtime, we again felt we dominated but they got a break and drew a penalty."

"We have to learn from tonight's ending. I think this is a game we played well enough to win and created enough chances to win. Now we have to take that and carry it over to Sunday's game at Mercer and hopefully we can have a good performance there and come back with a result."

Quick Hits From the Game:
•Michele Manceaux got the 'Cats on the board first with her first goal of the season and the eighth of her career overall at the 21:18 mark.
•Assisting on the play was defender Katherine Smith, who earned her second career assist.
•Davidson controlled possession the rest of the half and into the second half.
•The Panthers tied it up in the 73rd minute off a cross in the box where Arianah Black finished it off with a shot to the far post.
•Manceaux had a chance to break the tie late in the game as she was wide open in the box, but both shot attempts were blocked by GSU defenders.
•A foul in the box resulted in a PK for Georgia State and it closed out the game with the winning goal at the 97:04 mark in the first overtime.
•Davidson had advantages of 14-11 in shots (four going on goal) and 4-2 in corner kicks.
•The 'Cats took three of those shots in overtime and had one corner.
•Sarah L'Hommedieu finished with four saves in goal, while GSU's Kendra Clarke closed out with three saves.
