DAVIDSON, N.C. — Davidson, fresh off a four-game homestand and currently riding a season-best seven-game unbeaten streak, hits the road for the first time since Sept. 15 with Atlantic 10 games at Rhode Island Thursday and then at Dayton to close out the week on Sunday in women's soccer.

Davidson (7-3-2, 2-0-1 A-10) will carry an unbeaten streak of 5-0-2 into league games this week at Rhode Island (3-5-3, 0-2-1 A-10) Thursday night at 7 p.m. before closing out the week with a 1 p.m. Sunday matchup at Dayton (3-6-2, 1-1-1 A-10) on Baujan Field.
Coach Denton's Thoughts on the Upcoming Game ...
"Looking forward to the games ahead this weekend. These two games against Rhode Island and Dayton will be our first A-10 games on the road and both will provide a test for all our players on many different levels. The trips are both long ones and making them in the same weekend makes it even more of a challenge. Both are also tough places to play and our players have to be ready to compete from start to finish. It is exciting for our group and we are very much looking forward to the challenges we face this week."
A-10 Players of the Week ...
For the second week in a row, the duo of sophomore goalkeeper Mary Grace Bunch and forward Hailey Braemer claimed Atlantic 10 Women's Soccer Defender and Rookie of the Week awards, respectively, as announced Monday for games played from Sept. 23-29. Davidson has won six weekly honors this season. Bunch and Braemer again played roles in last week's pair of shutouts at home against Duquesne (2-0) and St. Bonaventure (0-0), which helped keep the Wildcats' unbeaten streak intact.
Reigning A-10 Defender of the Week Bunch earned her third and fourth shutouts of the season last week to go with six saves and a save percentage of 1.000 in 200 minutes. The Raleigh, N.C., native picked up her second win of the season in the win vs. Duquesne and had a season-best five saves. Braemer, the reigning A-10 Rookie of the Week, assisted on the game-winner in a 2-0 win against the Dukes at home. The Nashville, Tenn., native picked up her second assist on the season and has six points overall.
Scouting the Wildcats ...
•Davidson is riding a seven-game unbeaten streak (5-0-2) after defeating Duquense (2-0) and tying St. Bonaventure (0-0) in a pair of A-10 games last week.
•Cameron France registered her third game-winning goal of the season in the win vs. the Dukes, giving her three goals to tie for the team lead.
•She has seven points overall to pace the team, giving her seven goals and four assists for 18 points in her career.
•Hailey Braemer assisted on the game-winner, while fellow freshman Keeley Copper iced the game late with a perfectly placed shot over the keepers' head from about 36 yards out for her first collegiate goal.
•The pair of shutouts last week gave the 'Cats seven in a row and eight overall on the year.
•Goalkeeper Mary Grace Bunch earned both shutouts, giving her four on the season, while picking up her second win of the season in the victory vs. Duquesne.

•Brooke Cavino paces the team with three goals, while Kelly Fitzgerald has a team-best two assists.
•In goal, Teresa Morrissey has played in 11 games with a 1.05 goals against average, 38 saves and four shutouts.
•The Rams went 0-17-1 a year ago and 0-9-1 in A-10 play.

•Dayton plays at St. Bonaventure Thursday before hosting Davidson Sunday afternoon.
•Its most recent result was a 4-1 defeat on the road at Saint Louis, with the lone goal coming off the foot of Alexis Goins.
•Goins has team bests of four goals and nine points, while Laney Huber is next at three goals, two assists and eight points.
•Dayton as a team has 14 goals and 13 assists through 11 games.
•Goalkeeper Carly Becker has started all 11 games, tallying 32 saves and a 1.48 goals against average and one shutout.

Davidson and Rhode Island have played four times since first meeting in 1994, and the series is tied at 2-all. The most recent matchup took place in 2016 at Alumni Stadium where the Wildcats dropped a 3-0 decision.
The series vs. Dayton is six games old dating back to 1992 and Davidson is seeking its first win in the series. Both teams met last year on the 'Cats' home field where the Flyers took a 2-1 decision.
