• Carsen Edwards scored a game-high 29 points to lead No. 23 Purdue past Davidson, 79-58, in the semifinals of the 2018 Charleston Classic Friday at TD Arena.
• Despite the setback, Kellan Grady led Davidson with 18 points on 7-of-13 shooting. Carter Collins added a personal-best 9 points in 22 minutes off the bench.
• Ryan Cline (12), Evan Boudreaux (12) and Matt Haarms (10) also scored in double figures for the Boilermakers, who hit 13 3-pointers and finished with a 45-28 advantage on the glass.
• In addition, Purdue hauled in 18 boards on the offensive end, turning them into 18 second-chance points.
