Elias Registers Pin As Davidson Falls At The Citadel

CHARLESTON, S.C. – Senior Anthony Elias registered his first pin of the season and Nathaniel Powers tallied a decision as the Wildcats fell, 36-9, to Southern Conference foe The Citadel Wednesday at McAlister Field House.

After Davidson (6-14, 1-5 SoCon) forfeited at 125 pounds, Elias pinned Clarence Arrington at the 5:26 mark to even the match at 6-all. The Pittsburgh, Pa., native has now won his last four matches to own a 10-9 overall record.

Powers collected a 12-5 decision at 174 pounds, defeating William Connell. The Mill Hall, Pa., product has now won four of his last five matches and owns an 11-13 overall mark.

The Wildcats will conclude its regular season Sunday when the Wildcats host SoCon foe Appalachian State at Belk Arena.
