Wrestled at 141 pounds before moving up to 149 pounds … Owned an 8-18 overall season record … Placed fourth at the 2015 Southern Conference Championships at 149 pounds ... Went 1-2 at the Maryland Duals with a major decision over Chris Bent of Alderson-Broaddus and a 5-3 decision against Lucas Escobar of Johns Hopkins (Nov. 2) … Also went 1-2 at the Wolfpack Open (Nov. 16) … Defeated Ohio Northern’s Dylan Dolph, 8-3 (Nov. 23) … Earned an 11-6 decision over Jack Krall of VMI (Jan. 23) ... Defeated Jack Krall of VMI and Javon Johnson of App State before falling to Chattanooga’s Shawn Greevy at the 2015 Southern Conference Championships (March 7).
2013-14 (Freshman):
Went 2-14 at 141 pounds as a freshman… Lost a close 6-8 decision to Jon Stillo of Centenary (NJ) at the Wolfpack Open (11/17)… Earned his first career win with a 6-5 decision over Peter Ishiguro of Boston Univ. (12/7)… Won by forfeit to help the ‘Cats defeat Seton Hill at the Pitt Duals (1/12)… Lost a 3-6 decision to Javon Johnson of Appalachian State (2/16)… Fell by tech fall to Ugi of The Citadel (5-20, 6:55) and Ryan Mosley of Gardner-Webb (3-20, 5:00) at the SoCon Championship (3/8).
Before Davidson:
A three-year letterwinner at Georgetown Prep under the direction of head coach Mike Kubik.... A three-time IAC Champion and Second Team All-Gazette as a senior in 2012-13 at 138-pounds... Finished in the top five at the Maryland state championships three times, also taking sixth place at the National Prep Tournament to earn All-American acknowledgements... A team captain and Washington Post Honorable Mention... Member of the 100 win club and participated with Team Maryland at Fargo, N.D... Boasted a record of 48-12 as a senior, received first honors and dean’s list accolades in the classroom... Was also a member of the football and lacrosse teams.
