THE GAME
• The Wildcats search for their first win of the season when they host Kentucky Wesleyan Saturday at 1 p.m. The Panthers are a Division II squad out of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference.
• Saturday's game will mark the first-ever meeting between the two teams in program history.
• Kentucky Wesleyan is the second DII school the Wildcats will welcome to Richardson Stadium this season. On Sept. 12, Davidson fell to Catawba, 35-12, in week two.
• Saturday is Take A Kid To The Game day where all children 12 and under will have free admission with a paying adult on Saturday.
• Davidson enters Saturday with a 334-355-38 all-time non-conference record as Kentucky Wesleyan is the final non-conference contest this season. The 'Cats last non-conference win was last season versus College of Faith.
• This week's honorary captain is Adam Elmore, Class of 2002. Elmore was a standout defensive back at
Davidson and appeared in every game throughout his career. The Lawndale, N.C., native tallied 258 tackles
in his four years at Davidson.
• Saturday's guest coach is Lola Santamaria from the Spanish department.
 
QUICK SLANTS
• Davidson is coming off a 42-35 loss against Valparaiso Saturday to drop 0-4 overall and 0-2 in the PFL.
• #RecordWatch: Senior WR William Morris is 34 receptions, 102 yards and five touchdowns away from setting all three career records at Davidson.
• Morris is coming off an impressive performance versus Valpo, totaling 114 yards on eight catches with two touchdowns.
• DL Chris Woods leads the Davidson defense with 29 tackles, including 2.0 for a loss and one sack in the first four games this season. Four other Wildcats have tallied 20 or more tackles so far this season. Woods recorded a career-high 10 tackles against the Crusaders.
• WR William Morris leads the Davidson offense with 288 yards on 20 catches and three touchdowns. The senior averages 96.0 yards per game this season. RB Jeffrey Keil leads the rushing corps with 189 yards on 44 carries in three games this season. The sophomore did not play against Valpo due to an injury.

HONORARY CAPTAIN – ADAM ELMORE
This week's honorary captain is Adam Elmore, Class of 2002. Elmore was a standout defensive back for Davidson and appeared in every game throughout his career, starting his last three seasons. The Lawndale, N.C., native tallied 258 tackles, including six for a loss and four interceptions in his four years as a Wildcat. Elmore helped lead the squad to Davidson's only perfect season, which came during the 2000 campaign.
 
LAST TIME OUT
Despite 114 yards receiving and two touchdowns from WR William Morris, Davidson suffered a 42-35 setback to Valparaiso in PFL action last Saturday. With the score tied at 35, the Crusaders Griffin Norberg scored the game-winning touchdown on a 12-yard reception for Ryan Clarke with 1:55 remaining. Clarke finished the day 18-of-32 with five touchdowns passes and two interceptions, both by DB William Curran. QB Taylor Mitchell led the Wildcats offense with completing 19-of-35 passes for 196 yards and three touchdowns. Defensively, Chris Woods led the squad with a career-high 10 tackles.
 
MORRIS RECORD WATCH
Senior WR William Morris is on his way to becoming Davidson's all-time top receiver as he is on track to breaking all three career records. Morris is just 34 receptions, 102 yards and five touchdowns away from breaking all three Lanny Funsten's records:

MORRIS REWRITES THE RECORD BOOK IN 2014
WR William Morris finished the 2014 season with a school-record 1,224 yards receiving and 98 receptions, the most in a season at Davidson. In the season finale against Valparaiso, Morris caught 10 passes for 122 yards to finish with 1,224 yards receiving for the season that broke a 44-year-old Davidson record, which was held by Mike Mikolayunas since 1970.
