CLINTON, S.C. – Despite jumping out to a 14-0 advantage in the opening four minutes, Davidson suffered a 38-21 setback at Presbyterian in the Carolina Border Clash | Battle for the 1919 Cup Saturday afternoon inside Bailey Memorial Stadium.

The loss drops the 'Cats to 2-5 overall and 0-3 in league play, while PC takes possession of The 1919 Cup for the first time in the series improving to 3-3 and 2-1.

After a Blue Hose turnover on the opening kickoff, the Wildcats needed just three plays to take an early 7-0 lead on a Casey Bullock 14-yard touchdown run 1:24 into the contest.

On the next Presbyterian possession, Davidson forced another fumble then answered with a 3-play, 45-yard drive capped off by a 31-yard AJ Adams' catch and run to make it 14-0 with 11:40 left in the first.

The Blue Hose erased the early deficit with 32 unanswered to take a 32-14 lead into the half.

Bullock, who finished with 74 rushing yards on 19 carries, made it a two-score game, 32-21, late in the third quarter with a run from two yards out, but that's as close as the 'Cats would get.

Andrew Frazier added 77 yards on five catches for the Wildcats.

Highlighted by a pair of 100-yard rushers, Presbyterian finished with 494 total yards (149 pass, 345 rush) of offense.
