DAVIDSON, N.C. -- The Wildcats return home for Family Weekend when they host Marist on Saturday at 1 p.m.
THE GAME
• The Wildcats return home to host Marist in PFL action on Saturday at 1 p.m. on Family Weekend.
• Saturday's game will mark the eighth meeting between the two teams and Marist leads the all-time series that dates back to 2008, 6-1. Davidson's lone win came on Nov. 6, 2010 where the Wildcats edged the Red Foxes, 28-21, in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
• The last Pioneer Football League win for the Wildcats came at Valparaiso on Nov. 10, 2012 where Davidson took a 28-27 overtime victory.
• Davidson is 28-60 (.320) all-time in the Pioneer Football League.
• This week's honorary captain is Dr. John Cowan, Class of 1996. Cowan was a four-year starter at left tackle and also saw action as a defensive specialist his final two seasons. Cowan currently works at Harbin Clinic as a neurosurgeon in Rome, Ga.

HONORARY CAPTAIN – DR. JOHN COWAN
This week's honorary captain is Dr. John Cowan, Class of 1996. Cowan was a standout offensive lineman for the Wildcats. The Cartersville, Ga., native was a four-year starter at left tackle and also saw action as a defensive specialist his final two seasons because of his strength, speed and agility. Cowan was a Stuart Scholar, president of the Patterson Court Council and worked at hospitals in Pakistan and China throughout his time at Davidson. Cowan currently works at Harbin Clinic as a neurosurgeon in Rome, Ga.
LAST TIME OUT
Sophomore Cam Cheuvront's career day wasn't enough for the Wildcats as Davidson fell to Butler, 38-7, in PFL action Saturday at the Butler Bowl. Cheuvront led the Wildcats with a career-high 103 yards off eight catches for his first-career 100-yard game. QB Taylor Mitchell followed with completing 16-of-28 passes for 201 yards and a touchdown. The Bulldogs held Davidson to 234 total yards with the help of five total sacks for a loss of 30 yards and holding the Wildcats to 1-of-12 third down conversions.
