Wildcat Tidbits
• Davidson will continue its three-game homestand Wednesday when cross-county rival Charlotte visits Belk Arena for the annual "Battle for the Hornets' Nest Trophy" at 7 p.m.
• The Wildcats enter the contest 4-1 following a 72-49 win over UNCW on Saturday.
• In its last game, Davidson forced 20 turnovers and held the Seahawks to just 30.4 percent from the floor, including a 3-for-15 effort from behind the 3-point arc.
• The backcourt duo of Jack Gibbs and Tyler Kalinoski continue to lead three Wildcats in double figures, averaging 15.8 and 14.6 points per game, respectively.
• Peyton Aldridge, who paces the team in rebounding (6.8), is also averaging double figures at 12.0 points per outing.
• On Monday, Gibbs was named the Atlantic 10 Player of the Week after averaging 25.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists, while going 18-of-25 from the field last week.
• Four different Wildcats have gone over the 20-point plateau in a game this season.
• Through the first four contests, Davidson is shooting 40.0 percent (57-143) from long range and averaging 11.4 3-pointers per game, which is tied for fourth in the nation.
• In addition to outscoring their opponents by 20.4 points per game, the Wildcats are +7.6 on the glass.
• Up next, Davidson will host Stetson on Saturday at 4 p.m.
Oh What a Night
• In Davidson's convincing 95-69 win at UCF on Nov. 26, 2014, sophomore Jack Gibbs scored a career-high 37 points, including 22 before halftime.
• In addition to being the first Wildcat to score at least 35 points in a contest since Stephen Curry, Gibbs finished the contest 15-of-17 from the floor with his only misses coming from long range.
• Ironically, Curry scored 28 points and drilled six treys against the Magic that same night in Orlando.
