DAVIDSON, N.C. – The Davidson field hockey team will close out its home slate on Sunday when they host Longwood in a key NorPac match up at 1 p.m. at Belk Turf Field. The squad will honor four graduating seniors prior to the contest.

WILDCATS CLINCH TOURNAMENT BERTH
The combination of last weekend's 1-0 win over Radford and Appalachian State's loss to Longwood on Friday night as assured the Wildcats a berth in the 2013 NorPac Tournament. A win on Sunday vs. the Lancers would enable them to move from their current fourth-place seeding into third.

SERIES HISTORY
Sunday marks the 27th all-time match up between the Wildcats and Lancers. Since the first meeting in 1982, the Wildcats hold a slim 13-12-1 advantage in the series. The teams split the series last season, each taking the match on their home field. Both contests went to overtime in 2012, as Davidson took a thrilling 3-2 shootout victory the last time the two met at Belk Turf Field. Longwood earned a 1-0 OT triumph in Virginia last season and also claimed the first meeting this season between the two teams, winning by a score of 3-1.

SCOUTING THE LANCERS
Sitting second in the NorPac's East Division, Longwood enters the match up at 7-11 overall and 5-2 in league play with their lone losses coming to top-ranked Liberty.
