The Wildcats led 39-26 at halftime and had a double-digit lead most of the second frame, but PC was able to hang in the game. Walt Allen hit a conventional 3-point play, and Miller followed with consecutive triples as the Blue Hose scored nine points in 25 seconds to make the score 68-63 with 45 seconds left.

Holding a 20-18 lead in the first half, the Wildcats used a 14-3 run to open a 34-21 lead on a Jake Cohen putback with 2:04 left in the period. The 'Cats led by 10 points when Chris Czerapowicz hit a triple to beat the halftime buzzer and make the margin 13. The freshman scored the last five points of the period.

Davidson shot 55 percent in the period and was able to clean up its misses, getting 12 second-chance points off of six offensive boards.

The cushion grew to as many as 18 in the second frame before a 9-1 Blue Hose run made the score 47-38 midway through the half.
