Layup Line
• The Wildcats travel to Georgia Southern for the first of two meetings against the Eagles this season. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. Monday in Hanner Fieldhouse.
• Davidson broke a four-game losing skid with a 75-64 win over College of Charleston Saturday in Belk Arena. The Wildcats are 2-7 in their last nine.
• The 'Cats are 1-8 on the road this season and 1-4 in road conference games.
• Davidson coach Bob McKillop is eight wins shy of his 400th career victory. He is slated to coach his 1,000th game at Wofford Feb. 9 (344 as a high school coach).
• Davidson is in fifth place in the South while Georgia Southern sits in sixth.
• Georgia Southern has lost its last eight and is coming off a 65-61 home loss to College of Charleston last Wednesday.
• Ben Drayton leads the Eagles in scoring and assists, averaging 15.5 points and four helpers.
• Eric Ferguson, a strong candidate for the league's Freshman of the Year award, averages 13.7 points and 5.8 rebounds. Rory Spencer averages 11 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.4 blocks.

• Davidson leads the all-time series 24-6 and has won the last seven contests.
• The series began with an 84-64 Davidson victory Jan. 30, 1962.
• The 'Cats are 10-5 on the road, 9-5 in Hanner Fieldhouse and 21-6 during Bob McKillop's tenure.
JP Kuhlman poured in 24 points, and classmate Jake Cohen scored 18 to lead Davidson to an 84-74 win in the last meeting of the series.
• Kuhlman went 7-for-9 from the floor and 10-for-14 from the free-throw line for the Wildcats. Will Archambault collected 12 points and five rebounds, while Brendan McKillop scored 15 points. Nik Cochran added nine points off the bench.
• Willie Powers led the Eagles with 23 points and seven assists, and Rory Spencer posted 18 points, five boards and four blocked shots. Colby Wohlleb scored 14.
• The 'Cats withstood the Eagles' frantic pressure to shoot 55.1 percent from the field while holding Georgia Southern to 40.4 percent, including 12-for-32 in the second half.
• The Eagles stayed in the game by making the most of their free-throw opportunities, shooting 22-for-26 from the line. Davidson controlled the boards, outrebounding Georgia Southern 38-27, and knocked down 25-of-35 free throws.
• Kuhlman scored 18 points to lead six Wildcats in double figures, and Bryant Barr hit a free throw with one second left to seal a 91-87 Davidson win in the last game in Hanner Fieldhouse.
• Kuhlman was 5-for-7 from the field and a perfect 3-for-3 from long distance, and the freshman also posted six assists.
Steve Rossiter and McKillop each scored 15 points with Rossiter adding five rebounds and McKillop recording seven assists.
• Archambault posted 13 points and a game-high 10 boards, and Ben Allison collected 12 points and nine rebounds. Cohen finished with 11 points and six boards.
• Barr's free throw was one of four points for the senior but turned out to be the most important of the game. Georgia Southern whittled a 21-point lead down to 90-87 on a Rory Spencer dunk with two seconds left. The Wildcats got the ball inbounds to Barr, where he was fouled with one second left. Barr hit one of two from the line to seal the win.
• The Wildcats had an 84-67 lead with 5:01 remaining, when the Eagles went on 16-2 run to close the margin to 86-83 with 1:27 to go.

Leftovers from Charleston
• Cochran set a career high with seven rebounds. He has scored 20-plus points in three of the last six games.
• The win broke a four-game conference losing streak for the Wildcats.
• Davidson splits the season series with College of Charleston for the second consecutive year.

Claw Marks
• Davidson has been within six points or less (two possessions) of its opponents in the last five minutes in seven of its 12 losses this season, including the last three. The 'Cats have been within three points or less (one possession) in the last five minutes of five of their losses.
Brendan McKillop has been named one of 66 candidates for the Bob Cousy Award, which recognizes college basketball's top point guard.
• Cohen was named to the MSG?Holiday Festival All-Tournament Team after averaging 15.5 points, seven rebounds and two blocked shots in two games.
• Davidson has held its opponents to under 40 percent shooting in six games and won all six.
• With just one non-conference game left in the regular season (BracketBuster Feb. 19), Davidson owns a 6-5 non-conference mark.
• Davidson began the season by playing 10 of its first 13 games on the road. The 'Cats home opener was the sixth game of the year, the latest during the 22-year tenure of head coach Bob McKillop.
• Davidson won its home opener for the 19th consecutive season.
• The Wildcats opened SoCon play with two games in Charleston for the second-straight campaign.
• The Wildcats' 80-52 loss at No. 24 Vanderbilt Jan. 2, was their worst loss since a 75-47 setback at then eighth-ranked Duke in 2006.

Milestone Watch
Brendan McKillop is 291 points away from 1,000 for his career. He also needs nine 3-pointers to move into the career top-5 at Davidson. The game against Furman Jan. 12, was his 100th career contest.
Jake Cohen has 65 career blocked shots, placing him 10th on Davidson's career list. Frank Ben-Eze needs 19 to crack the top-10.
• Cohen needs 313 points for 1,000, and Kuhlman needs 341.
