Aaron Lesiak joined the Davidson baseball program as the volunteer assistant coach in 2020.
Lesiak previously served as an assistant coach at Division II Anderson University in South Carolina.
“Aaron has come in and acclimated himself well in a short period,” said head coach Rucker Taylor. “With his background, he’ll have a range of responsibilities and will make our staff and program better.
A South Carolina native, Lesiak earned a political science degree from Presbyterian College in 2016. He pitched three years for the Blue Hose, then spent a graduate year playing at The Citadel while he earned his master’s in sport management. He then served as Furman’s director of baseball operations.
“I am extremely grateful to be joining the Davidson College baseball program,” said Lesiak. “I’m thankful for the opportunity Coach Taylor and the rest of the staff have given me and I’m looking forward to helping this program accomplish all of its goals.”
Lesiak made 19 starts on the mound at Presbyterian and in 2016 made 29 appearances out of the bullpen, compiling a 3-3 record and 4.11 ERA in 30.2 innings. At The Citadel in 2017, he was 3-3 with a 3.42 ERA and two saves out of the bullpen.
Lesiak also played two seasons of football at Presbyterian.
