Parker Nolan '22 returned to his alma mater and joined the Wildcats as an assistant coach in late August, 2025.

Known for covering a lot of territory as an all-conference center fielder, Nolan helped the Wildcats secure their first Atlantic 10 regular-season title and win a school-record 43 games in his senior season.

"Having Parker back with the program is wonderful," said head coach Rucker Taylor, who coached Nolan from 2019-22. "He was a beloved teammate and person during his time on-campus. Parker brings a unique perspective to our staff and will be a tremendous asset to our scholar-athletes."

A Wilmington native, Nolan said he is thrilled to return to Davidson, where he played in 116 games, had a .905 career OPS and was three times voted "Best Teammate" by his teammates.

"It's hard to truly put to words what it means to now serve a program and institution that has given me so much," he said. "I have a deep gratitude for the magic that happens among the Davidson community and feel so grateful to be back on campus experiencing it daily. It is such a privilege to work with and lead such exceptional young men and support them as they navigate such formative years in their lives. Long before there was a position open at Davidson, amidst one of the many conversations Coach Taylor and I have shared since graduation, I made it known that, should I enter the coaching world and find myself pouring my time, effort, and energy into a program, I would love nothing more than it to be at Davidson. In short, finding my way back into college baseball was always the goal, but finding my way back to Davidson was always the dream."

As a senior, Nolan was an Atlantic 10 First Team selection as the Wildcats eclipsed the 40-win mark for the first time and rolled to a 20-4 A-10 regular season. He was an all-around producer, hitting .310 with a 1.105 OPS, 58 runs, 11 doubles, five triples, 15 home runs, 50 RBIs and 12 stolen bases.

"We had high expectations for ourselves this year," Nolan said at the time, "but to actually see them through and be what we thought we could be is really, really special."

Nolan had two two-homer games his senior season, and on May 12, 2022 in a win at Saint Joseph's, he etched his name into the Davidson record book by hitting the first cycle in program history.

After earning his degree from Davidson (in Political Science, with a minor in Communication Studies), Nolan played the 2023 season at N.C. State, alongside his close friend and fellow Davidson graduate and outfielder Trevor Candelaria, where he appeared in 51 games and started 41 in center field. With the Wolfpack, Nolan hit .288 with a .931 OPS, nine doubles, 10 homers and 31 RBIs.

Since his college baseball career concluded, Nolan has stayed around the game. He played one season with the Firefighters of the Savannah Bananas organization, which put him in the unique spotlight of the popular and ever-growing Banana Ball production. He has also coached a travel team with Candelaria and is pursuing his master's degree from N.C. State.

Nolan is living in Charlotte and is engaged to Anna Davis '22, a former track and field standout.
