In February of 2025, he was promoted to Associate Director of Athletics for Athletic Communications.
Beeler, who oversees the department's communication efforts, also serves as the primary contact for football, women's cross country and track & field and golf. His responsibilities also include seats on the Hall of Fame Committee and Athletic Department's senior leadership team.
Prior to rejoining the Davidson staff, Beeler spent four years as the Assistant A.D. for Athletic Communications at Radford University in Radford, Va.
Along with serving on RU’s senior staff, Beeler oversaw communication for the Highlanders’ 19 Division I varsity sports, including the athletic department’s website, publications and media relations. He also served as the primary contact for men’s soccer, men’s basketball and men’s and women's tennis.
In addition, Beeler was Chairman of the Radford University Athletics Hall of Fame Committee, responsible for the institution's Licensing and Branding efforts as well as served as the color commentator for Radford men's basketball contests.
While on the Southwest Virginia campus, Radford launched its key communication source, www.RadfordAthletics.com; a project Beeler directed and designed.
In his previous stint at Davidson, Beeler worked extensively with the men’s basketball program, highlighted by their run to the 2008 Elite Eight. He also served as the primary media contact for men’s soccer, wrestling, golf and women’s tennis program. In August of 2007, Beeler oversaw the design and build of Davidson’s athletic website, www.davidsonwildcats.com.
A 2002 graduate of Campbell University with a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications, Beeler worked in his alma mater’s athletic department for five years, in both sports information and marketing. While an undergrad, he worked under Associate Athletics Director for Athletic Media Services Stan Cole as a student assistant and later continued his role as an assistant director from 2004 to 2005.
During his time, he served as the primary contact for several of the Camels’ athletic programs and was the Webmaster for Campbell’s athletics website (www.GoCamels.com). Along with assisting every aspect of the sports information office, Beeler doubled as the broadcasting assistant and marketing intern. For five seasons, he performed play-by-play and color analysis duties for Camel basketball, baseball and softball games. As a student broadcaster, he hosted “Campbell SportsTalk,” a weekly half-hour radio show, and served as the sideline reporter for basketball broadcasts.
As the marketing intern, Beeler assisted in corporate sponsorship sales, oversaw internal and external game promotions and was the director of the “Camel Crazies,” Campbell’s student-based fan group.
He is a member of the College Sports Information Directors of America, North Carolina Sports Information Directors and Basketball Writers Association.
Beeler and the former Carrie Glass were married in May of 2004. They reside in nearby Mooresville and are the parents of Kayleigh (17) and Macray (14).
