Dr. Robert Lutz

- Primary Care Sports Physician
A 1987 graduate of Davidson College, Dr. Robert Lutz started in August, 2018 as Davidson's Primary Care Sports Physician.
In addition to his role as the primary care sports physician at Davidson College, Lutz also serves as a physician with Atrium Sports Medicine.
During a 30-year career in the U.S. Army, Lutz obtained his medical degree at the Uniformed Services University, and following residency, he became certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine in 1997.
After his retirement from the Army in 2017, he completed a fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine at Duke University. During his fellowship, he worked with college athletic teams (Duke and Elon) and the Carolina Hurricanes of the NHL.
