Bio
Turner on Guthrie: “Julia is feisty player with a lot of speed and determination on the ball. She adds a spark wherever she is on the field and always works hard for her teammates. She has a great shot and will add a lot of intensity to our team.”
2012: Appeared in 18 games with 13 starts at midfield in her sophomore season… Tallied an assist to help the Wildcats to a 3-2 shootout win over Longwood (10/5).
2011: Appeared in 13 contests … tallied first assist in 3-1 win at Appalachian State … added another at home against Appalachian State.
Prep Years: A three-time WPIAL All-Star (2008-10) for The Ellis School … team captain for 2010 WPIAL championship team … team also won conference championship in 2008 and was the runner-up in 2009 … earned Mendoza High Performance Course “Best Tactically Offensice Player” award in 2008 and ‘09 … three-year letterwinner … also competed in track and field … named to honor roll each semester … achieved Level 2 – “Premio de exclencia” of National Spanish Exam.
Personal: Daughter of George Guthrie and Judy Stundon, D.C. … intends to major in biology (pre-dental studies).
