1ST AND 10
- Coming off a Week 9 bye, Davidson returns to action this weekend with just its second-ever trip to PFL opponent St. Thomas.
- The Wildcats enter 3-5 overall and 1-3 in PFL play following a come-from-behind 34-31 overtime win against Morehead State.
- Two of the 'Cats' three victories this season have come in overtime.
- Davidson has won its last three overtime contests.
- This is just the fourth all-time meeting between Davidson and the Tommies.
- Quarterback Casey Bullock ranks among PFL leaders in passing yards (1809 / 3rd), total yards (2,322 / 2nd) and total yards per game (290.3 / 2nd).
- Despite missing the last two contests, senior Jacary Lightsey ranks among the top PFL receivers in receptions (42 / 5th), receiving yards (519 / 8th) and yards per game (86.5 / 2nd).
- Defensively, the 'Cats are led by sophomore Hudson Altenburg, who has a team-best 49 tackles and three pass breakups.
- As a team, Davidson ranks 20th nationally in time of possession.
- St. Thomas, which joined the Pioneer Football League in 2021, and Davidson have met just three times on the gridiron.
- The Wildcats won the first meeting in 2021, 42-15, but the Tommies have won each of the last two.
- Davidson fell to St. Thomas, 57-13, in Pioneer Football League action Oct. 11, 2025 from Davidson College Stadium.
- In addition to forcing four turnovers, St. Thomas finished with 561 yards of total offense.
- Senior Brody Reina scored both of Davidson's touchdowns. The first coming on a six-yard reception late in the third followed by a 12-yard catch and run with 11:45 left.
- Defensively, safeties Dominic Njoku and Hudson Altenburg led the way for the 'Cats with seven tackles each.
- Davidson returns home next weekend for a 1 p.m. kickoff with Stetson.
- Davidson made the plays it needed in overtime Oct. 17, 2026, including a game-winning Christos Tzoumakas 33-yard field goal, to edge Morehead State 34-31 in Pioneer Football League action at Field 76 and Davidson College Stadium.
- It's the second overtime victory for the Wildcats this season, after they defeated VMI 27-24 on Sept. 19, with the difference that day also being a Tzoumakas field goal. And it's the first PFL win for the Wildcats, who improved to 3-5 overall and 1-3 in the league.
- With the teams tied 31-all through 60 minutes, MSU (1-6, 0-3) had the ball first in the extra session, but the Eagles' possession ended on a third-and-6 interception by Erick Bonner, who returned it 78 yards.
- The Tzoumakas game-winner came after the Wildcats drove from the 25-yard line to the 16 and just moments after Davidson tied the game with 14 seconds left in regulation when quarterback Casey Bullock hit Brendan Ravin for a 12-yard touchdown pass.
- Bullock led the Wildcats with 321 yards of offense, and he had a hand in four touchdowns, including three on the ground. He ran for two scores in the first quarter, beginning with a 37-yard touchdown. Later in the period, he burst for a 77-yard touchdown run down the home sideline after Morehead State defenders let him slip by.
- The Wildcats trailed 17-14 at the half and 24-14 in the third before Bullock capped a 10-play, 78- yard drive with a 5-yard run. Following an Eagles' fumbled punt snap deep in Davidson territory, the Wildcats tied it at 24-all on a Tzoumakas 28-yard field goal one play into the fourth quarter.
- Bullock finished 19-of-30 passing for 174 yards and connected with AJ Adams seven times for 66 yards. Bullock ran 11 times for 147 yards.
- MSU did much of its offensive work through the air, as Bryce Patterson threw for 274 yards and found Anthony Ice for two touchdowns, including a 42-yard strike on a fourth-and-1 play in the second quarter. A Patterson-to-Ice 13-yard touchdown gave the Eagles their touchdown lead in the fourth.
- In the early-season win over VMI, Tzoumakas kicked a 25-yard field goal to put the Wildcats ahead in overtime, and a Hayden Meese fumble recovery sealed the win.
