DAVIDSON, N.C. – Under the direction of ninth-year head coach Susanne Depka, the Davidson women's tennis team will open their 2026 spring campaign Friday against Queens University inside the Knobloch Tennis Center at 5 p.m.
Friday's opener was originally scheduled for Saturday morning but was moved due to the threat of winter weather in the Lake Norman / Charlotte area this weekend.
The Wildcats return nine letterwinners from last year's squad that posted a 13-9 overall record, which included a 7-4 mark at home.
Among those returning include 2025 all-conference selection Savanna Kollock, who posted a 6-3 record during fall competition.
In addition, Kollock and Bryson Langford became the first-ever Wildcat duo to reach the ITA Regionals Round of 16 in October.
Ellie Hammond, who led the team in singles victories a year ago with a 20-11 record, is also back for the 'Cats.
Last season, Davidson defeated the Royals 5-1 on the road, extending its win streak to four straight over the cross-county foe.
Davidson's 21-match schedule features 12 home contests and six against Atlantic 10 competition.
