LAST TIME OUT
Behind a 53 percent clip from the floor, including 13 3-pointers, Davidson cruised past Morgan State 78-34 on Education Day Friday inside John M. Belk Arena.
Twelve different Davidson players scored, led by Candice Lienafa's 14 points on 5-of-7 shooting and four treys. Edina Strausz also finished in double figures with 12 points to go along with nine rebounds.
SERIES HISTORY
The Wolfpack hold a 10-1 lead in the all-time series with the Wildcats dating back to the teams' first meeting during the 1974-75 season when Davidson earned its lone series win, a 64-50 home victory. An upset against NC State would be the first win for Davidson over the Wolfpack in five decades.
The 'Cats fell at Reynolds Coliseum last season 59-57 after pushing the No. 22 ranked Wolfpack to the brink. Behind 20 points from Issy Morgan and 17 from Charlise Dunn, the Wildcats were within three points of a huge road win before the home team sealed the game with free throws.
The Wolfpack enter the contest 8-4 and are riding a three-game winning streak.
'CATS VS. POWER FOUR
During head coach Gayle Fulks' tenure, the 'Cats have played up to their competition despite not always getting the win. This season, the Wildcats have played three games against power conference opponents and have lost by single digits each time, including a two-point loss to No. 7 Baylor.
Since the 2023-24 season, the 'Cats are 2-8 against power conference opponents with wins over Wake Forest and No. 22 Duke in 2023. The 'Cats have held those opponents to 60 points per game over that same period.

HOME SWEET HOME
The 'Cats have started 7-0 at home for the third straight season and are 29-7 inside Belk Arena the last three seasons. Under Fulks, the Wildcats have defended home court well, holding a 70-39 record. Of their seven wins this season, the 'Cats have won six by double digits and four by more than 20 points.
The Australian duo of Dunn and Katie Donovan has excelled in Belk Arena this season. The pair is combining for 30.3 points, 10.7 rebounds and 3.0 steals per game and shooting 49.5 percent from the field. Donovan, in particular, levels up her game in Belk Arena, shooting 55.1 percent from the field and 57.1 from 3-point land.
NUMBERS TO KNOW
The 'Cats rank among the leaders in the A-10 in multiple statistical categories. They lead the league and rank 29th in the nation in 3-point percentage, shooting at a 37.1 percent clip. This percentage is bolstered by the single-game program record 17 threes made against Ball State.
The 'Cats defense ranks third in the A-10, holding opponents to 58.7 points per game. They also rank second in scoring margin, beating teams by an average of 12.8 points per game.
UP NEXT
The 'Cats finish their non-conference games with NC State and return to A-10 action after the holiday break, traveling to Loyola Chicago on Dec. 31.
