
Wildcats Force Overtime Against No.7 Baylor, Fall 74-72

ORLANDO, Fla. – Charlise Dunn posted a career-high 33 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, including a clutch three-pointer with four seconds left to send the game into overtime. No. 7 Baylor held on for the 74–72 win after a last-second layup sealed its victory.
Dunn went 10-for-20 from the field, 3-of-10 from beyond the arc, and 10-for-11 from the free-throw line, including three free throws to tie the game at 72 in overtime. She was supported by her Australian counterpart, Katie Donovan, who added 15 points on 5-for-14 from the field and 5-for-7 from the stripe, including 13 in the first half. The duo combined for 48 points, 15 rebounds, and six steals.
Edina Strausz also contributed 10 points and five rebounds, while Ines Garcia Monje scored six points with five rebounds, including an offensive board and assist that set up Dunn's game-tying shot.
The Wildcats hung with the Bears throughout the night, leading by one at the end of the first quarter and three going into halftime. Overall, there were eight lead changes and five ties during the contest.
Baylor built a 47–42 lead heading into the fourth quarter after a cold stretch for the Wildcats in the third. Davidson came to life in the fourth, opening on a 6–0 run to retake the lead and shooting 56.3 percent from the floor. Dunn tallied nine fourth-quarter points and scored all nine of Davidson's points in overtime.
The nation's leading scorer, Taliah Scott, led the way for the Bears with 22 points and nine turnovers before fouling out in overtime. Yuting Deng was the hero for Baylor, making a driving layup with three seconds remaining in overtime to cap off her 12-point performance. Three Bears fouled out in the contest, including starters Darianna Littlepage-Buggs and Bella Fontleroy.
