'Cats Hold Off Tribe, Win 5-4

With their sixth win in seven games, the Wildcats improved to 7-4 overall and secured at least that many wins for the third straight season.
Naaktgeboren's fifth multi-goal game of 2025 took her season total to 14 goals, which ties for fifth-most in a single-season in program history, and Sunday marked the second time this year she scored at least three goals (4 vs. Towson on Aug. 31). Her game-winner came with 10:39 to play, after the Tribe (1-9) tied the game at 4-all with three goals in the third quarter.
Naaktgeboren scored twice in the second period as the Wildcats built a 3-1 halftime lead.
Lourdes Wolf got the Wildcats started Sunday with a goal 4:40 into the game, and Eva van der Kooi scored Davidson's fourth goal of the day in the third quarter.
Up Next
The Wildcats will host Atlantic 10 rival Richmond on Friday, Oct. 10 and will begin a weekend of celebrating 50 years of the program.
