Field Hockey Falls at Wake Forest

WINSTON-SALEM — Wake Forest scored early and late and posted a 6-0 win over Davidson in non-conference field hockey Sunday afternoon.
The Wildcats (4-6) stayed within striking distance much of the way, allowing one goal per period through 45 minutes of play, but the Atlantic Coast Conference's Demon Deacons (4-6) scored three goals in a 1:25 stretch in the fourth quarter.
Davidson got shots-on-goal from Macy Curtis, Abby Pompeo and Sarah Grace Clifton.
Faye Janse and Mia Schoebeck had two goals apiece to lead Wake Forest.
