OLEAN, N.Y. - The Davidson women's soccer team scored three goals in the second half to run away with a 4-0 conference win Thursday at St. Bonaventure.Â
Davidson's 4-0 win tied its season-high goal output with the 'Cats having defeated Appalachian State 4-1 earlier in the year. Additionally, the four-goal game is the largest shutout margin under the guidance of head coach Riley Piechnick.Â
The win brings the Wildcats' record to 6-5-2 overall and 2-3 in tha Atlantic 10 in addition to the 'Cats earning their first A-10 road win of the season.Â
"Awesome team win today," said Piechnick. "Scoring any goal in the A-10 is hard, so to get four from four different players is a big accomplishment. I thought our execution all over the field today was very good and another strong defensive performance. Looking forward to being back at home on Sunday!"
Davidson's scoring onslaught was compiled by SJ Pak (6:54), Annaliese Mann (48:20), Dakota Lyons (62:09) and Alli Jacobson (89:11). Jacobson and Mann netted their first goals of the season while Lyons tallied her third and Pak her second of the year.Â
The Wildcat defense stood their ground once more, securing the teams fourth shutout of the season and second in a row. The 'Cats back line held the Bonnies to just eight total shots and only two on target that each were saved by trusted goalkeeper Emily Smith who made her 13th start of the year Thursday.Â
For the game, Davidson led St. Bonaventure in shots (16-8), shots on goal (7-2) and corner kicks (6-1).Â
