Davidson Welcomes League-Leader Rhody to Belk Saturday

DAVIDSON, N.C. -- The Davidson women's basketball team returns to Belk Arena on Saturday night for a 7 p.m. tip off with the Rhode Island Rams.
The 'Cats and Rams will square off on ESPN+ with Derek Smith on the call with up-to-date action at @DavidsonWBB on Twitter.

ABOUT THE RAMS... Opposite the 'Cats, the Rams are coming off a double overtime victory on Wednesday night, where they defeated Saint Joseph's 77-73 to remain a perfect 9-0 in Atlantic 10 play. Rhody sits alone at the top of the conference, as Mayé Touré leads the way with 14.1 points per game and 8.6 rebounds per game.
UNTIL NOW... The Wildcats have won four of their last five contests, including a four-game win streak that stretched from January 14-25. In that span, sophomore point guard Issy Morgan was named the Atlantic 10's Player of the Week for a two-game stretch where she scored 19 points per game, including career-high 20 points against Duquesne. Davidson sits at sixth place in the league standings, with seven games to go in the regular season and is shooting 43 percent from the floor on the year, good for third-best in the conference.
