Wang Clinches 4-3 Win at LIU

NEW YORK, N.Y. -- Jerry Wang won a 6-1, 6-2 singles match against Long Island University on Saturday afternoon to lift the Wildcats past the Sharks 4-3 in their third victory of the season.
The 'Cats dropped the doubles decision, despite a 6-4 win on court one from Maxwell Kachkarov and Juan Camilo Perez Gongora, but bounced back with four victories on the singles courts to seal the match.
Alejandro Solares began the win streak, earning a 6-3, 6-1 decision at No. 3, while Nico Pinzon won a two-set battle 7-5, 7-5 on court five. In addition to Wang's thrilling victory, senior William Clark won a three-set bout, 6-2, 6-7 (4-7), 6-2 at No. 2 that helped the 'Cats come out on top.
Davidson will take on A-10 foe Fordham at 7 p.m. on Saturday. Results to follow.
