Wildcats Drop a Pair of Matches Over the Weekend

DAVIDSON, N.C. – The Davidson College men's tennis team suffered two 4–0 losses over the weekend, falling to A-10 opponent Richmond at the Davidson Tennis Courts on Saturday before dropping a road match at No. 4 Wake Forest on Sunday.
The 'Cats fall to 4-7 on the season and 0-2 to start conference play.
Richmond was able to narrowly take the doubles point to start the day after splitting with Davidson on courts two and three. The point came down to the No.1 court where Davide Procacci and Sebastian Carpio Moran battled Cole Brashear and Davis Wiley to 7-6 (7-5) overtime loss.
The Spiders cleaned up in singles play, winning three matches in straight sets and taking the 4-0 victory.
On Sunday, the 'Cats traveled to nationally-ranked Wake Forest who extended their 41-match home win streak against the Wildcats without relinquishing a single set.

The Wildcats host a pair of Atlantic 10 matches this upcoming weekend, welcoming Dayton to the Davidson Tennis Courts on Friday at 3:00 p.m., and Saint Louis on Sunday at 11:00 a.m.
