DAVIDSON, N.C. -- Davidson women's basketball will return home for its second-to-last home game on Wednesday night, tipping off with the Saint Joseph's Hawks inside Belk Arena at 7 p.m.

THE SERIES:
  • St. Joe's holds the all-time series record at a 8-1 advantage.
  • The Wildcats and the Hawks met twice within two days last season, where SJU won both ends of the series, 67-66 and 58-51.
  • In 2021, the 'Cats earned their first win over the Hawks in program history, with a 71-64 bout inside Belk Arena.

LAST TIME OUT... Richmond shot a red-hot 52 percent over three quarters of play on Sunday afternoon, defeating the Davidson women's basketball team 75-44 in Atlantic 10 women's basketball action.

ABOUT THE HAWKS... The Saint Joseph's Hawks are 17-7 this season and 7-5 in A-10 play. The Hawks currently sit in fifth place in the league's standings, and are led by freshman Laura Ziegler who has collected six A-10 weekly honors. The Danish rookie averages 11.4 points per game and 8.7 rebounds per game, while recording six double doubles this season.

RECENTLY... Suzi-Rose Deegan nailed a pull-up dagger with 1.7 seconds remaining in regulation to lift the Davidson Wildcats past Loyola Chicago, 57-55, last week. The win improved the 'Cats to 12-11 overall and 5-4 in conference play, while the Ramblers dropped their 10th straight Atlantic 10 contest. In the final frame, the Ramblers shot 53.3 percent from the floor and rattled off a 10-0 run over a three-minute span to tie the contest at 55-all, before Deegan's heroics put the 'Cats in front at the buzzer.

AROUND THE LEAGUE... Davidson's final four games of the regular season are against four of the top five teams in the league. After meeting No. 5 SJU on Wednesday, the Wildcats await No. 2 UMass, No. 4 George Washington and No. 3 Fordham, respectively. Davidson's final home game of the season will be against the No. 3 Rams, a contest that will serve as the program's senior day, honoring Suzi-Rose Deegan, Cameron Tabor, Chloe Welch, Adelaide Fuller and Peyton Carter.
