'Cats Welcome Dayton for Sunday Matinee

PROMOTIONS
- Prior to Sunday's game, Davidson Athletics will be hosting a free clinic in honor of National Girls and Women in Sports Day from 11-12 p.m.
- Sunday will also be the women's basketball team's Play4Kay game, and the first 250 fans will be given a pink Wildcat headband.
- The first 200 students will also be given a 'Cats t-shirt.
- Dayton, the back-to-back regular season A-10 champs, holds the all-time series advantage at a 9-0 clip over the Wildcats.
- Last year, the 'Cats battled in two close matchups with Dayton, falling by just six points in each contest (72-66, 64-58).
- The last three outcomes between Dayton and Davidson have all been determined by six points.
LAST TIME OUT... The Davidson Wildcats ended their three-game losing skid on Wednesday night with an electric 56.6 percent shooting effort to route George Washington 67-37 from inside the Charles E. Smith Center. Wednesday's win marked the third time this season in which the 'Cats have shot 50 percent or better from the floor, and was the team's second-best effort from deep this year, as the Wildcats torched the net at a 46.7 percent clip from beyond the arc.
NOTABLES... No stranger to a tight game, the Wildcats are 4-0 this season in games determined by 5 points or less. The 'Cats are also 6-0 this season when scoring 60-69 points during a ball game.
STIFLERS... With the 'Cats holding GW to just 37 points, it marked Davidson's fewest total points allowed in an Atlantic 10 game in program history. The 30-point victory against the Colonials also marked the first time the Wildcats have beaten a team by 30+ points since they did so on Nov. 20, 2019 against Western Carolina (101-51).
UNSUNG HERO... Senior captain Chloe Welch is an unsung hero for the Wildcats this season, getting things done all over the hardwood. Averaging 8.3 points per game, the Colorado native has had seven double-digit scoring performances this season, eight games with five rebounds or more, six games with at least two blocks or steals and four performances with three assists or more.
