Gladstone Picks Up Singles Win, 'Cats Fall 6-1 to Middle Tennesee

Mira Gladstone picked up Davidson's lone point of the afternoon, as the junior battled to a three-set tiebreaker win. After winning the first set 6-2, Gladstone fell behind 6-4 in the second which settled the court three match up at a 1-1 score. Finally, in the determining set, Gladstone fought her way to a 10-8 result to clinch the win.
After winning her first set 7-5 on court five, freshman Franny Shea caught the short end of a three-set match, despite fighting to a 10-6 result in the third.
The 'Cats will look to bounce back next Friday when they play host to Xavier at 2 p.m.
