Wildcats Take Eighth Place at Atlantic 10 Women's Cross Country Championship

CEDARVILLE, Ohio – Davidson women's cross country finished eighth at the Atlantic 10 Championships on Saturday at the Elvin R. King Cross Country Course. The Wildcats posted 212 points.
"I'm very happy with our improvement over last year," Director of Women's Cross Country Jen Straub said, "We moved up throughout the race and finished strong. Shout out to our entire team for continuing to grow. The future is bright for our Wildcat family."
Junior Kelsey Troutman paced Davidson finishing in 32nd, stopping the clock at 18:55.0. Alexis McDonnell was four spots behind her, crossing the finish line at 19:05.3. Natalie Abernathy rounded out the top-three Wildcat finishers with a time of 19:17.3
Frances Whitworth (19:19.2), Edie Smith (19:24.0) and Abigail Nasse (19:30.2) and Anna Kathryn Kilby (19:33.2) comprised the rest of Davidson's contingent.

The Wildcats head to Lexington, Ky. to compete in the NCAA Southeast Regional, hosted by the University of Kentucky, on November 12.
