Sullivan’s PR Leads ‘Cats at NCAA Southeast Regional

EARLYSVILLE, Va. – Coming off an all-conference performance at the A-10 Championships, Davidson's Molly Sullivan set a new personal record Friday morning to lead the Davidson women's cross country at the NCAA Southeast Regional.
In her final collegiate cross country meet, Sullivan turned in a career-best time of 21:17.4 to finish 81st out of 257 competitors. It marks the fourth time this season the senior has set a new PR.
Fellow all-conference honoree and 2025 A-10 Rookie of the Year Annie Norman followed Sullivan with a time of 21:46.9 to place 131st.
Freshman Gilly Shumate also recorded a new season best in 22:04.9, while Abby Smith (22:12.0) and Mary Shoop (23:05.7) rounded out the Wildcat scoring.
As a team, Davidson placed 22nd out of the 36 teams competing.
NC State placed four runners inside the Top-15 to claim the team title by 45 points over South Carolina (100), which edged North Carolina (108).
The Gamecock's Salma Elbadra was the fastest individual finishing in 19:03.1.
