DAVIDSON — Davidson allowed two goals in 27-second span of the first quarter, and Richmond controlled the scoreboard from there in a 4-0 field hockey win over the Wildcats Friday evening at Belk Turf Field.
Davidson had three shots on goal, with Natalie Naticchia's scoring chance at the 5:45 mark possibly the best. Adriana Risi (23:32) and Macy Curtis (46:32) also had shots stopped by Richmond keeper Erika Latta.
Addie Nash got the Spiders on the board 8:48 into the match, and Madi Hyatt followed with a goal at the 9:15 mark.
The Spiders added two goals in the fourth quarter, first on Hyatt's second goal and then on a Steffie Bongers penalty shot 1:03 later.

The Wildcats will host non-conference foe Ohio at 11 a.m. Sunday.
