DAVIDSON, N.C. — Davidson begins its quest in the Atlantic 10 Women's Basketball Tournament when it opens the first round at Richmond Tuesday night at 7 p.m. inside the Robins Center.
The Wildcats (12-17, 7-9 A-10) earned the 9th seed, their highest finish since joining the A-10 in 2014-15. They are riding a two-game win streak heading into the tournament after scoring wins at La Salle and home vs. VCU to end the regular season.
The Spiders (13-16, 8-8 A-10) are the eighth seed and earned the chance to host the first round by winning its final regular season game at George Washington Saturday.

•Playing their final home game was seniors Mackenzie Latt (eight points, six rebounds, three steals), Saadia Timpton and Chloe Johnson. Timpton assisted the 'Cats in tying a season best with 10 three-pointers by hitting a career-best three of her own and finished with a career-best tying 10 points.
•Katie Turner scored 14 points, 11 in third quarter and sparked a 16-6 run in the quarter with three triples to turn a one-point deficit into a 47-38 lead the Wildcats would not give back.
