Five Join Davidson W. Soccer as Part of Class 2021

DAVIDSON, N.C. — The Davidson women's soccer program has added five incoming freshmen for this coming Fall season, as announced today by first-year head coach Adam Denton.
"I'm very happy with the group that we will be adding to the Davidson family in the Fall of 2017," said Denton. "We have five players that all played a high club level and are going to add to the depth of quality of our team. We have a great balance with our incoming class and they compliment the current players we have in the program. Each of the incoming players have expressed their desire to want to compete in the A-10 Conference, become valuable members of the Davidson College student body and our community."
The Wildcats will welcome to the class of 2021: Sarah Harrington (Smithtown, N.Y.), Gretchen Pearson (Glen Ellyn, Ill.), Sydney Simmons (Atlanta, Ga.), Katherine Smith (Houston, Texas) and Carmen Wagner (Cummings, Ga.).

Sarah Harrington
Position: Midfield/Forward
Hometown: Smithtown, N.Y.
Club Team: Brentwood Freedom '98
High School: Smithtown West
Coach Denton: "Sarah is a box-to-box midfielder with great passing range. Her athleticism and vision will add another dimension to our midfield combination."
Academic Honors: Has over 4.0 GPA … NYSPHAA Scholar Athlete … AP Scholar with Distinction … member of Math Honor Society, Social Studies Honor Society, Math Honor Society and National Honor Society … president of the German Honor Society … first-chair first violin/concert mistress of the Concert Orchestra … section leader of the Chamber Orchestra and Symphonic Orchestra.
