DAVIDSON, N.C. — Playing in their second Atlantic 10 Tournament, the Davidson women's basketball team will tip off the tournament with an opening round game Wednesday vs. Richmond.
The Opening Tip ...
Davidson (11-18, 5-11 A-10), which is the 12th seed, begins the tournament by facing off against 13th-seeded Richmond (12-17, 5-11 A-10) in the first round at 4:30 p.m. in the Richmond Coliseum.
A-10 Tournament ...
This is Davidson's second appearance in the A-10 Tournament after joining the league on July 1, 2014. The tournament is being held at the Richmond Coliseum, March 2-6. The first round features seeded teams 11-14, while seeds 5-10 earned a bye into the second round. The top four seeds earned a two-day bye and will start play on Friday.
Last year in their first-ever appearance in the tournament, the Wildcats fell short in a 74-63 defeat to La Salle in the first round. Hannah Early scored a team-high 23 points and Mackenzie Latt registered a double-double in their first A-10 Tournament.

… Mackenzie Latt registered her fourth 20-point outing of the season and Davidson picked up a 67-59 Atlantic 10 win at Richmond, Feb. 10. Latt finished with an even 20 points on 9-of-14 shooting with a couple of free throws and added nine rebounds.
Also hitting the double-digit mark was Hannah Early and Alexandra Long with 12 points each. Long tied her career-best with eight rebounds, all on the defensive end.
