DAVIDSON, N.C. — The 2015 regular season will wrap up this weekend for the Davidson women's lacrosse team as it plays a pair of games, including a Senior Day contest at home Sunday vs. St. Bonaventure.
The Opening Draw Control
Davidson (5-9, 2-4 Atlantic 10) seeks to close out its first year in the Atlantic 10 in winning fashion with its final two games of the season. First the 'Cats will head to play at Duquesne (7-8, 3-3 A-10) Friday afternoon. Then they will return home Sunday to honor their seniors for Senior Day in a 1 p.m. contest against St. Bonaventure (2-14, 1-6) at Richardson Stadium.
The All-Time Series/Last Meeting
This will be the third time the Wildcats and Bonnies have met each other, but first time since 2005. SBU has taken both meetings, capturing a 10-9 decision in the first game of the all-time series in 2003 and then earning a 17-6 win back in 2005.
Davidson and Duquesne have matched up eight times dating back to 1997. The Dukes own a 5-3 advantage over the 'Cats and earned a 10-9 win in the last meeting in 2007. The Wildcats last win came in 2002, a 10-6 victory on their home field.

Senior Day
The Wildcats will honor seniors Sarah Duncan, Catherine Schmidt, Mary Leonard, Katy Boyle, Emily Cooke and Emily Rademacher prior to the start of the game as part of Senior Day on Sunday.
They all have helped lead Davidson to 36 wins during their four years, including a program-best 12 last year. They also were part of the program's first-ever team to capture a regular season title, taking home the Big South title in 2013.
Record Watch
Senior Emily Cooke moved into sole possession of second place in the record books in points after recording four points in a win vs. Bucknell, March 11. The attacker pushed her career total to 191 to pass Amanda Fleck, who had 185. Cooke, who has 195 career points heading into the weekend, already holds the school's all-time assist record, increasing her total to 121 after a three-assist outing vs. George Washington, March 27.
Fellow senior Emily Rademacher ranks third all-time with 135 draw controls. Junior Emma Sissman holds the career mark with 185, while her 95 goals are eighth all-time. Goalie Katy Boyle moved into the top-10 all-time in saves with 248 (114 have this year), ranking seventh, while her 9.56 career goals against average is tops all-time.
Weekly Honors
Senior Emily Cooke and freshman Christine Molinari became the first Davidson women's lacrosse players to earn Atlantic 10 weekly awards as the duo were named the player and rookie of the week for games played from Feb. 16-23.
Six in a Row at Home
Davidson had a six-game home streak that came to an end in a defeat to Navy, Feb. 21. The streak start last March 22 against Elon, a 15-8 triumph. The Wildcats rattled off wins against Old Dominion, Winthrop, Coastal Carolina and Liberty to finish out the year. They then opened the 2015 season with a 21-4 triumph over Kennesaw State to capture their sixth straight.
The record is seven straight set from the 2008 season into the start of the 2009 campaign.

DAVIDSON — Sophomore Nicole Pettiglio scored a career-high four goals and Davidson used a 5-0 run in the second half to break up a close game on its way to earning a 13-10 road win against Saint Joseph's last Sunday.
Down 9-8 with over 23 minutes left in the second half, Catherine Schmidt sparked a game-changing 5-0 spurt with back-to-back scores nearly 30 seconds apart to help the Wildcats take a commanding 13-9 advantage. Pettiglio capped off the scoring run with her fourth goal of the game on a free-position shot and 4:38 remaining.
Matching Pettiglio with four points on the day was Emily Rademacher, who had three goals and one of the Wildcats' two assists. The senior pushed her points total to a team-high 32. Joining Schmidt with two goals was Paige Farrar as she matched her season best, while Annie Brockett and Emma Sissman scored once each. Brockett added an assist.
Both teams played to an even 7-all draw in the first half, with Pettiglio supplying three goals for Davidson and Phelan matching with three of her own goals to pace the Hawks' offense.
Goalie Katy Boyle won her fifth game of the season with eight saves and added two groundballs. Rademacher (5) and Sissman (4) pulled in nine of Davidson's game and season-high 19 draw controls, while Holly Thomas picked up a team-best three of the 'Cats' nine groundballs.
Last Time Out ...
ST. BONAVENTURE — Morgan Conroy made a career high 17 saves, but St. Bonaventure lost, 16-10, last Sunday afternoon at George Washington.
Conroy made nine saves in the first half to help the Bonnies stay close. The Bonnies led 3-2 early in the game before the Colonials scored four straight to take a 6-3 lead. St. Bonaventure battled back to tie the score at 6-6 on goals from Scarlett Jaworski, Rachel Perla and LeighAnn Stauffer.
The Colonials grabbed command by scoring five of the first six goals of the second half to open a 13-7 lead. After that, the Bonnies could not cut their deficit any closer than five.
Stauffer led the Bona offense with three goals. Kaitlin Jennings scored twice. Perla, Jaworski, Mikayla Place, Mary Maestri, and Gabrielle Bradley all scored one goal.
