A-10 Tournament | Historic Run
Davidson won three games in four days and captured the program's first A-10 Tournament Championship and clinched first trip to the NCAA Tournament. Prior to this season, only UMASS, Richmond, and Saint Joseph's had won an A-10 Tournament Title since 2010. With the title, the women's lacrosse team became the first female team sport at Davidson College to win an A-10 Tournament Championship.
The 'Cats took down Saint Joseph's, 13-6, in the first round of the A-10 Tournament. With the semifinal matchup against top-seed Richmond tied, 10-10, Brooke Ross scored the game-winning goal with 4.7 seconds left in the fourth quarter to seal victory. In the title game, the 'Cats trailed 5-2 at half and outscored VCU 8-0 in second half. Kayla Joyce, the 2025 Goalkeeper of the Year, had eight saves. Joyce currently ranks 12th in the nation in GAA (8.16)
SPOTLIGHT PERFORMER
Brooke Ross earned IWLCA National Offensive Player of the Week after a tremendous performance across three games in the A-10 Tournament. Ross scored nine goals for the Wildcats on 15 shots. The junior was also named the A-10 Tournament's Most Outstanding Player. Ross has 35 goals this season after six goals in 2025.
REMATCH AGAINST THE TIGERS
Entering the NCAA Tournament with a program-record 15 wins, Davidson is seeking a victory over Clemson for the first time. The 'Cats are 0-3 against the Tigers. The two teams last met on March 31 (L, 21-5).
'CATS IN THE RANKS
During the regular season, Davidson ranked first in the A-10 and eighth nationally in ground balls per game (18.69) and second in the A-10 in caused turnovers per game (10.38).
Jenna Skibbe ranks fifth in A-10 with 57 goals across all 19 games. She owns the single-season record for most goals in program history (59, 2025). Skibbe also ranks second in program history with 164 career goals.
HARTNETT HAS HEART
Allie Harnett was named an All A-10 First Team selection for the fourth straight season. She is the first person in the Kim Wayne era to earn first-team honors all four years.
In 72 career games, Allie has 132 points (81 goals, 51 assists), 101 ground balls, and 132 draw controls. Her SOG (shots on goal) percentage last season was 41% and this season it's 74.1%.
NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK
During regular season, freshman Kaitlyn Uller ranked seventh among A-10 freshmen in goals (14) and second among A-10 freshmen in assists (12). Margit Crittenberger ranked first among A-10 freshmen in caused turnovers (17) and second in ground balls (30) during the regular season.
