DAVIDSON, N.C. – VCU's Kailyn Slade broke up 2-all tie with a pair of second-half goals as Davidson fell 4-2 to the Rams in both team's Atlantic 10 opener Thursday evening at Alumni Stadium in women's soccer action.
The Wildcats saw their three-game win streak come to an end as they moved to 4-6 (0-1 A-10) on the season, while VCU improved to 3-6-1 (1-0 A-10).

• Both teams were playing for just the second time, with the Rams now having won both games.
• The 'Cats' three-game win streak was their longest since 2009 when they rattled off an eight-game unbeaten streak.
• Davidson grabbed the early lead after Maggie Boyd took a cross from Adelaide Cummings and found the back of the net for her first collegiate goal. It was Cummings first point of the season and first-ever assist as well.
